Daoust finalist for « l'Entreprise de l'Année 2011 » competition
Daoust is one of the 5 finalists for the "Entreprise de l'Année" competition, organised by Ernst & Young in collaboration with the newspaper l’Echo and BNP Paribas Fortis.
The competition "Entreprise de l'Année" was held for the first time in 1996. Every year the organisation honours a Belgian company that excels through innovation, company culture, a coherent strategic vision, a healthy financial situation and its perseverance in all circumstances.
Daoust has been elected as one of the 5 finalists for the 2011 edition (French speaking part, Brussels-Wallony), together with BIA Overseas, Hamon, Lampiris, et Pranarôm.
For the first time in the history of the competition a Human Resources company made it to the final stages of the competition.
An integrated Human Resources company
Founded in 1954, Daoust is Belgium’s most experienced HR company on the market. With its six departments, it is active in the main areas of HR: temporary employment, selection, outplacement, service cheques, Job Academy & Public Sector.
An essential player on the Belgian job market
Daoust is a business on a human scale, 100 per cent Belgian, which has become an essential partner on the job market. It is represented in the three regions and active in the three languages of the country via its 35 JobCenters and departments.
Innovation, a priority
Daoust is a pioneer company in the field of temporary employment (since 1954), of outplacement (since 2001), of service cheques (since 2003) and of Job Coaching (since 2006). It is constantly developing new concepts, such as for example, the first “paperless” JobCenter (90 per cent less paper) opened in 2010 in Brussels or the Daoust Proxibus system, Belgium’s unique mobile service cheques agency.
A humanist company
Daoust attaches a great deal of importance to human, social and societal values, especially by way of: Daoust Diversity (a commitment against discrimination at work), the programmes Parol and Filons (support in working out professional projects), Exaris Interim (a temporary social work agency founded in partnership with Actiris) or via its “One Job Shows” (improvisation/coaching for job hunters and youths finishing their education/training).
Ever-increasing turnover figures
Thanks to its diversification strategy, which has guaranteed stability during the financial crisis of 2008, Daoust has seen a strong turnover increase of €10 million in 1997, €30 million in 2000, €69 million in 2009, €85 million in 2010 and an estimated €100 million for 2011.
Daoust in a few figures
Recognized through its various certifications such as ISO 9001-2008, VCU/LSI and ESF, which guarantee optimal management, speed and efficiency, Daoust also pays particular attention to prevention in the domain of health and safety.
The future and the vision
Daoust’s objective is to continue to seek and offer new HR services adapted to the needs of its customers and workers at each stage of their professional lives (flexibility, free time, support, employing youths and older workers).
